About this site
The Normannia lies off the North Carolina coast, in the Atlantic waters commonly dived out of the Morehead City and Beaufort area, a region known for its scattered wreck sites off the Outer Banks. This stretch of ocean lies within what is often called the graveyard of the Atlantic, where numerous vessels lost to storms, war, and collisions rest on the sandy bottom. The wreck sits at a maximum depth of around 36.6 metres and is considered an advanced dive.
