Kakidana (牡蠣棚) is a boat-dive site among oyster-farming rafts at Onagawa on the Sanriku coast of Miyagi, with a maximum depth of 15 m and an average around 8 m. Divers see the hanging oyster lines up close, like curtains in the water. A free descent and solid neutral buoyancy are required, with no settling on the bottom or touching the gear.
