Pared Verde lies off Playa del Carmen on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, in Quintana Roo, part of the reef sites reachable by short boat rides from the town's dive shops along the broader Mesoamerican Reef system of the Riviera Maya. As its name suggests, it is a wall dive, dropping to a maximum depth of around 30 metres. It is rated an advanced site, likely due to the depth and the wall terrain itself.
