About this site
Passe De Brandele lies off Mayotte, a French island in the Mozambique Channel between Madagascar and the African coast. Like other passes around the island, it forms a channel entry through the surrounding reef and lagoon system, used by local operators to access nearby reef structure. Divers here have reported bluefin trevally, brown tang, green jobfish, humpnose bigeye bream, Indian bullethead parrotfish, lined bristletooth, rusty jobfish, and tricolour parrotfish moving through the pass.
