About this site

Pink Beach sits along the coast of Komodo within Komodo National Park, in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The site takes its name from the pale reddish sand of the beach onshore, colored by fragments of red coral mixed into the white sand, and dive and snorkel spots in the bay are typically reached by boat from Labuan Bajo. Diving here is a beginner site over a reef bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres with good visibility. Clownfish and nudibranchs are common on the reef, and divers have also reported angelfish, bannerfish, batfish, fusiliers, leaf scorpionfish, parrotfish, snapper, and stingrays, with occasional sightings of manta rays, nurse sharks, and even tiger sharks.
