About this site
Piper is a striking dive site off Makronisos Island, Greece, known for its dramatic underwater cliffs and vibrant marine life. The steep walls are covered in colorful sponges and gorgonians, while schools of damselfish, groupers, and occasional barracuda patrol the blue. Depths range from 10 to 40 meters, offering options for all levels. The clear Aegean waters provide excellent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters. A small wreck lies at the base of the remains of a sunken boat, now home to octopuses and moray eels. Currents can be moderate, making it ideal for drift diving. The rocky outcrops create swim-throughs and overhangs, perfect for exploration.
