About this site
Possession Point lies at the southern end of Vancouver Island, near Sooke, along the coast bordering the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This stretch of shoreline is characterized by rocky points and cold, current-swept waters typical of the region's outer coast. The reef here is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 15 metres. Divers have also reported lionfish, nudibranchs, and trevally on the site, sightings worth noting given how unusual those species are for these cold Pacific waters.
