About this site
Pyramids lies off Bali's northeast coast near Tulamben and Amed, along a stretch of sloping black sand shoreline facing the Bali Sea, usually reached by boat or direct shore entry. The site is a wall reaching a maximum depth of around 130 metres, though it is rated a beginner dive thanks to light current and good visibility, so most divers stay well within the shallower reaches of the drop-off. Barracuda, batfish, frogfish, garden eels, lionfish, nudibranchs, octopus, pygmy seahorses, reef sharks, scorpionfish, sea turtles, sweetlips and trevally are all found along the wall. Divers have also reported angelfish, eagle rays, fusiliers, ghost pipefish, grouper, leaf scorpionfish, moray eels, humphead wrasse, snapper, stingrays and tuna here.
