Rosalie Moller

The Rosalie Moller is a British coal steamer sunk by German bombers in 1941, near the same time as the SS Thistlegorm, and lies in the northern Red Sea off the Egyptian coast near Jubal Island in the Strait of Gubal. It rests upright and largely intact on the seabed, with the wreck reaching a maximum depth of around 47 metres, and is rated a technical dive. The hull retains much of its original shape, including boilers, masts, and cargo holds, and its surfaces draw barracuda, trevally, and tuna, with divers also reporting grouper, lionfish, and mackerel around the structure. Because of its depth and technical rating, it is generally visited by experienced divers on liveaboards operating out of Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh. It sees far less traffic than the more famous Thistlegorm, which leaves it comparatively quiet for a wreck of its size.
