About this site
Ulysses lies off Jubal Island in the Strait of Gubal, near the mouth of the Gulf of Suez in Egypt's Red Sea Governorate, an area long used by shipping traffic moving between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea proper. The wreck rests on a sandy bottom to a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible on the same boat trips out of Hurghada or liveaboard routes that pass through the strait to reach the other sites in this stretch of water.
