About this site
Runway Reef sits in Subic Bay, off Olongapo on the western coast of Luzon in the Philippines, an area long associated with the former US Naval Base and its surrounding waters. Subic Bay is known for a cluster of wreck and reef dives accessible from the town, drawing on the bay's history as a naval facility. Runway Reef itself is a reef-bottomed site reaching a maximum depth of around 18 metres, rated as a beginner dive with good visibility. Divers have reported pufferfish and stingrays over the reef here.
