About this site

San Simone 1 lies off Marettimo Island, the westernmost of the Egadi Islands, in the province of Trapani off the northwest coast of Sicily. Marettimo's shoreline is characterized by steep limestone cliffs dropping into the Tyrrhenian Sea, with dive sites reached by boat from the island's small harbor. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 36.4 metres and is rated intermediate. Divers have reported damselfish and grouper on the reef here.
