About this site
Marettimo is the westernmost of the Egadi Islands, off the coast of Trapani in western Sicily, and its shoreline is defined by steep limestone cliffs dropping into the Tyrrhenian Sea. Panta Basana sits along this rugged coast, within the waters of the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area, and is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 35.5 metres, rated intermediate. Access to sites here is typically by small boat from the island's harbor. Divers have reported grouper, manta ray, and scorpionfish along the wall, though sightings vary by trip.
