About this site
Santa Fe Island lies in the central Galapagos archipelago, southeast of Santa Cruz Island, and is a common day-trip destination for boats out of Puerto Ayora. The site sits within the Galapagos Marine Reserve, and diving here is done over a rocky bottom around the island's coastline and the channel separating it from nearby islets. It's a beginner dive to around 16.7 metres, with light current and great visibility making conditions comfortable for the site. Hammerhead sharks are a regular sight here, and divers have also reported eagle rays and garden eels along the rock.
