Sha'ab Suedi is a reef system in the Red Sea off the coast of Al Bahr Al Ahmar state in Sudan, an area reached mainly by liveaboard rather than shore diving. The Blue Belt takes its name from a freighter that ran aground and sank on the reef, and its remains lie scattered across the reef structure. Sudan's Red Sea coast in this area sees far less dive traffic than the Egyptian sites to the north, with trips typically organized out of Port Sudan.
