About this site
Cano Island lies off the Osa Peninsula on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, within Caño Island Biological Reserve, and is reached by boat from Drake Bay or Uvita. The waters around the island are known for rocky reef terrain and pelagic encounters rather than wreck diving in general, and dive operators in the area run trips to a scatter of named sites around its shores.
