About this site
Simons Town lies along the coast of the Inhambane province in southern Mozambique, a stretch of the Indian Ocean known for its offshore reefs and boat access from the local coastal settlements. It sits within the broader Inhambane diving region, reached by small craft launched from the shore. The site itself is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 17 metres, rated suitable for beginners. Wrasse are a regular sighting on the reef, and divers have also reported angelfish, batfish, fusiliers, lizardfish, nudibranchs, snapper, and trevally moving through the area.
