The Sir Charles Napier lies off the coast of Leinster, in the sea approaches to Dublin on Ireland's east coast, with coordinates placing it well out into the Irish Sea, an area that has seen a number of shipping losses over the centuries. The site is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 10 metres, rated technical. Divers have also reported nudibranchs here.
