About this site
Slab City sits off Pura, a small island in the Lesser Sunda chain of Indonesia, within the waters of the Alor archipelago region. This part of the Alor strait area is known for strong currents running between the islands, and dive sites here are typically reached by boat from operators based around Alor or nearby Kalabahi. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and divers have reported mimic octopus and seahorses on its bottom.
