South Point

South Point is one of the dive sites along the drop-off surrounding Sipadan Island, off the east coast of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo. Sipadan sits on top of an oceanic seamount rising from the seabed, and its perimeter sites are known for steep walls that plunge into deep water just off the reef. The island is a well established destination for divers visiting this part of Borneo, with access controlled by a permit system managed by Malaysian authorities to limit daily numbers. South Point is rated an intermediate dive.
