About this site
Staghorn Crest lies within the reef system off Sipadan Island, on the Sabah coast of Malaysian Borneo in the Celebes Sea. The island is known for its steep drop-off walls rising from very deep water, and access to its dive sites is tightly controlled through a permit system managed by Malaysian park authorities. This wall reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with visibility generally good. Divers have reported angelfish, grouper, nudibranchs, and triggerfish along the reef here.
