About this site
The Straits of Tiran sit at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, where it meets the Red Sea proper, between the Sinai Peninsula and the Saudi Arabian coast. The strait is best known for its string of coral reef systems and the strong currents that funnel through this narrow passage of water between two seas. Diving here is considered advanced, a reflection of those currents and the exposed, open-water nature of the site.
