About this site

The Perhentian Islands sit off the northeast coast of Terengganu, on Peninsular Malaysia's South China Sea side, with Perhentian Kecil being the smaller and more backpacker-oriented of the two main islands. The Sun Choi Wreck lies in the waters around this island, reached by boat from the jetties on Kecil and its sister island Besar. It sits on a sandy bottom at a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported barracuda, fusilier, lionfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, snapper, and stingray around the wreck structure.
