About this site

Sunset Point sits off the western side of Gili Trawangan, the largest of the three Gili Islands in the Lombok Strait, north of West Nusa Tenggara's mainland, reached by a short boat ride from the harbor area. It's a reef dive over a reef bottom, rated beginner with light current and a maximum depth of around 22 metres, though surge can pick up in the shallower sections. Barracuda, cuttlefish, damselfish, manta rays, octopus, reef sharks, sea turtles, snapper, sweetlips, and tuna are all found here. Divers have also reported angelfish, anthias, batfish, bumphead parrotfish, clownfish, eagle rays, garden eels, grouper, lionfish, mantis shrimp, mobula rays, moray eels, pufferfish, stingrays, and trevally on the site.
