About this site

The Fish Bowl lies off Alor Island in East Nusa Tenggara, part of the diving grounds in the Alor Strait between Alor and Pantar. This wall site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, is rated a beginner dive, and runs light current, making it more manageable than many of the strait's stronger tidal sites. Fusiliers school here in numbers, and divers have also reported angelfish, damselfish, scorpionfish, snapper, sweetlips, trevally, triggerfish, and manta rays passing through. Boats out of Kalabahi typically run these dives, working around the tidal current windows common to the strait.
