About this site
The Tubastrea Tunnel is a thrilling lava tube dive off Hawaii's coast. Swim through a dramatic underwater tunnel formed by ancient volcanic activity, where sunlight filters through cracks, creating mesmerizing light effects. Schools of tropical fish dart between vibrant coral formations, and eagle rays often glide overhead. The entrance starts at 50 feet, with the tunnel descending to 80 feet—ideal for advanced divers. Strong currents can occur, adding excitement. Watch for white-tip reef sharks resting in the shadows. The site's unique geology and abundant marine life make it a must-dive for adventurous divers.
