Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park

Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a remote marine protected area in the Sulu Sea, made up of a North Atoll, a South Atoll and the separate Jessie Beazley Reef. Divers find coral walls, healthy reefs and schooling fish, with sea turtles, reef sharks and rays, and pelagic encounters are possible.

The North Atoll has coral plateaus, steep walls and cleaning stations, with strong or changing currents in places. Washing Machine lives up to its name with strong, changing currents. Shark Airport has a wide coral plateau where grey and whitetip reef sharks rest above the reef or along the wall edge, and Amos Rock is known for its coral growth, with barracuda, tuna, trevally and large schools of snapper.

On the South Atoll, Ko-ok draws schools of jacks, reef sharks, turtles and manta rays, and the reef around the Delsan Wreck serves as a feeding and cleaning area. Jessie Beazley Reef has steep walls and hard-coral formations, where strong currents can bring more marine activity.
