About this site
Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park sits in the Sulu Sea off the coast of Palawan, Philippines, accessible only by liveaboard during a short diving season in the middle of the year. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site made up of two large coral atolls and a smaller reef, rising from deep open water far from the mainland. The remoteness and the open-ocean setting mean conditions can be exposed, and diving here is considered an advanced undertaking. Its isolation is part of what has made it a long-standing draw for divers willing to make the boat journey out to it.
