Turneffe Reef

Turneffe Reef sits on the Turneffe Atoll off the coast of Belize District, one of the country's three coral atolls. The dive follows a wall bottom to a maximum depth of about 24.4 metres, rated intermediate, with visibility generally described as great. Dolphins and snapper are common here, while divers have also reported dugong, eagle rays, grouper, lobster, sea turtles, and wrasse along the wall. Strong currents have been noted as a hazard at the site, so conditions are worth checking before the drop.
