Ulong Channel

Ulong Channel sits in the Rock Islands area of Palau, west of the main island chain, where a reef channel cuts between coral formations. It is well known among Palau operators as a drift dive, with divers carried through the channel as the current moves across the coral gardens and mounds. Reef sharks, napoleon wrasse, and schooling fusiliers or trevally are commonly reported here, along with dense coral cover along the channel. The site has a maximum depth of around 17 metres and is rated a beginner dive, though timing the entry with the tide still matters for how the drift plays out. It is often paired with other Rock Islands sites like Blue Corner or German Channel on the same boat day.
