About this site
Umm Gamar sits north of Hurghada in the Red Sea, one of the older established dive sites along this stretch of the Egyptian coast, reached by boat from the Hurghada area. The island breaks the surface as a small reef formation surrounded by fringing reef, with its eastern side facing open water off the Sinai-facing side of the Red Sea Governorate coastline.
