About this site
Vanguard lies well out in the Irish Sea off Dublin's coast, in the province of Leinster on Ireland's east coast, which faces toward Wales and northwest England. It is a technical dive reaching a maximum depth of around 50 metres, well beyond the Dublin Bay coastline itself. Divers have reported dark conditions, open hatches and holes, and strong tidal currents on this wreck, which lies far enough from shore to demand careful planning, and access requires a protected wreck license.
