About this site
Vilingili Corner sits off Vilamendhoo, an island in South Ari Atoll in the Maldives. Sites along this atoll rim are typically reached by dhoni from the resort's house reef area, where the reef edge drops toward the atoll's inner channel. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported barracuda, manta rays, nurse sharks, giant morays, and bluefin trevally around the corner, along with reef fish such as Moorish idols, oriental sweetlips, powder blue tangs, roundhead parrotfish, blackblotched porcupinefish, and black pyramid and saddleback butterflyfish.
