About this site
Nea Kameni is the small volcanic islet at the center of the Santorini caldera, formed by the same eruptive activity that shaped the surrounding cliffs. Volcano Wreck Port sits within the flooded caldera basin around the islet, reached by boat from ports on Thira or Oia. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is rated a beginner dive.
