About this site
Vis Island sits in the central Adriatic off the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, within Split-Dalmatia County, and is one of the more remote inhabited Croatian islands, historically reached only by ferry from Split. Its coastline is marked by steep limestone cliffs and rocky points that drop quickly into deep water, a feature common to several dive sites around the island.
