About this site
Wonder Rock lies off the Musandam peninsula coast of Oman, along the Strait of Hormuz area at the entrance to the Gulf. It reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is generally considered an intermediate dive. Divers have reported barracuda, trevally, and even whale sharks passing through here, though currents can run strong, and a dangerous down current has been noted on the western point.
