About this site
This wreck dive off Ecuador's coast features the remains of a German freighter sunk in World War II. Resting at 30 meters, the structure is encrusted with colorful corals and sponges. Schools of grunts, snappers, and barracuda patrol the wreck, while eagle rays often glide past. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters, supporting abundant marine life. The shallowest parts reach 18 meters, making it accessible to advanced divers. Visibility varies but often exceeds 15 meters. The wreck's size allows for multiple dives to explore different sections. Nearby rocky outcrops host octopus and moray eels. Best dived during the dry season from June to November.
