About this site
YO-257 is a wreck site off East Honolulu, on the south shore of Oahu, Hawaii, near Waikiki, within the same stretch of coastline worked by dive boats out of Honolulu alongside other artificial reef wrecks in the area. The wreck lies on a sand bottom to a maximum depth of around 35.8 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, with strong currents a confirmed hazard here. Divers have also reported barnacles, eels, sharp metal edges, erratic surface conditions, and limited bottom time as concerns on this site. Sightings reported by divers include eagle rays, manta rays, nudibranchs, octopus, and even whales passing through the area.
