About this site
Yonehara Pukapi East offers vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, including clownfish and butterflyfish. The shallow reef slopes gently, making it ideal for beginners. Clear waters provide excellent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters. Look for sea turtles gliding past the coral formations. The site sits near Ishigaki, where warm currents attract diverse marine life. Drift diving is common here, letting you effortlessly explore the reef. Expect mild currents and water temperatures around 25-28°C. A great spot for underwater photography with its colorful soft corals and sandy patches.
