About this site
Agoshima (アゴ島) is a boat-dive pinnacle at Onagawa on the Sanriku coast of Miyagi, with a maximum depth of 20 m and an average around 11–12 m. There is a descent line, and good tidal flow keeps the water clear. Undulating terrain and channels add topographical interest, and the natural beds of sea pineapple (Halocynthia sea squirts) hold many pink lumpfish and the chance of a spiny-nose sculpin.
