Hotatedana (ホタテ棚) is a boat-dive site among scallop-farming rafts at Onagawa on the Sanriku coast of Miyagi, with a maximum depth of 15 m and an average around 8 m. A free descent and solid neutral buoyancy are required, with no settling on the bottom or contact with the aquaculture lines.
