Albany sits off Santiago Island in the Galapagos archipelago, part of Ecuador's eastern Pacific island chain, and is reached by boat on liveaboard or day-boat itineraries operating under the Galapagos National Park system. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres. Divers have reported eagle rays and manta rays passing through the area.
