About this site

Backyard is a reef dive site off Koh Lipe, part of the Adang-Rawi Archipelago in Satun Province, in the Andaman Sea close to the Thailand-Malaysia maritime border. The island group sits within Tarutao National Marine Park, reached by boat from Koh Lipe's piers. It is rated a beginner dive, making it an accessible option among the sites scattered around the archipelago. Divers here have reported checkerboard wrasse, moon wrasse, zigzag wrasse, greenblotch and Indian bullethead parrotfish, Moorish idols, triangular butterflyfish, white damsels, and ocellaris anemonefish sheltering in magnificent sea anemones.
