About this site
Kra lies within the Adang-Rawi Archipelago off Koh Lipe, in Satun province near the Thailand-Malaysia maritime border in the Andaman Sea. This part of the archipelago is reached by boat from Koh Lipe, the small island that serves as the main jumping-off point for dive trips in this southern stretch of Thai waters. Divers here have reported a mix of reef fish typical of the area's coral grounds, including checkerboard wrasse, greenblotch parrotfish, Indian redfin butterflyfish, Moorish idol, red-tailed and triangular butterflyfish, slingjaw wrasse, white damsel, and zigzag wrasse.
