About this site
Batu Nisan lies off Perhentian Kecil, one of the two main Perhentian Islands off the coast of Terengganu in Malaysia's South China Sea. The site sits within the cluster of granite reefs and boulder formations that ring these islands, reached by a short boat ride from the resorts on Kecil. It is a shallow reef dive to around 10 metres, rated for beginners. Divers have reported bumphead parrotfish, octopus, and pufferfish around the boulders here, and there have even been reports of whale sharks passing through.
