About this site
Brennecke's Ledge lies off Poipu on the south shore of Kauai, near the beach of the same name, and is reached by boat from the harbors serving the Poipu area. It is a rocky, ledge-like reef formation typical of the volcanic coastline along this stretch of the island, dropping to a maximum depth of around 30.5 metres and rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported strong currents running along the ledge, and reef sharks and whales have also been sighted in the area.
