About this site
Koloa Landing sits on the south shore of Kauai, Hawaii, and is a shore dive over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of about 13.7 metres, generally rated a beginner dive with light current. Octopus are a regular find here, and divers have also reported lizardfish, lobster, moray eels, nudibranchs, parrotfish, reef sharks, scorpionfish, sea turtles, and even whales at times. Conditions can shift with swell direction, and divers have flagged high south surf over four feet, along with the lack of a lifeguard, as hazards to watch for.
