Buddha Rock sits off Koh Tao, an island in Surat Thani province on Thailand's Gulf coast, in an area developed heavily around dive tourism. The waters around Koh Tao are dotted with granite boulder formations like this one, typically reached by longtail or dive boat from the island's piers. It is a beginner site with a maximum depth of around 14 metres, making it an easy dive for newer divers. Divers here have reported bannerfish, octopus, parrotfish, and pufferfish around the rock formation.
