About this site

Cathedral is a cave site off Puerto del Carmen on the south coast of Lanzarote, in an area shaped by the island's volcanic shoreline into rocky formations and cavern-like features popular with local dive operators. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres over a cave bottom and is rated an advanced dive. Grouper are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported damselfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, tuna, wrasse, and even mobula rays passing through. Puerto del Carmen remains the main dive hub on the island, with Cathedral typically reached by boat along this stretch of coast.
