About this site
The Blue Hole sits along the volcanic coastline of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, a stretch shaped by lava formations, arches, and sinkhole-like features. This site drops to a maximum depth of around 32 metres over a cave bottom and is rated an advanced dive, with cave diving noted as a hazard by divers who have explored it. Barracuda, grouper, and octopus are regularly encountered here, and parrotfish have also been reported. It is typically reached from one of the dive centers along the island's eastern or northern shore.
