Channel Crevasses sits off the southern coast of Okinawa's main island in the Ryukyu chain south of Kyushu, in an area where currents have cut channel and crevasse formations through the fringing coral shelf. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres. It is typically reached by small dive boats operating out of local coastal harbors.
